What is Pain Management?
The British Pain Society estimates that almost 10 million people in Britain suffer from pain almost every day which impacts their daily life. Pain management is a branch of medicine that aims to help reduce pain and manage it to allow better quality of life for those who suffer pain.
Pain management is required when pain is no longer being managed by basic interventions by you or your GP or if you are having pain with no obvious cause.
Pain management may involve- exercise, painkillers, physiotherapy, psychotherapy and CBT, a pain management program or invasive procedures like injections into joints.
