Mr Ahmed is a Consultant Urological Surgeon based at East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust.
He undertook his urological training in the South East of England Hospitals including Guy’s and King’s College Hospitals.
Following his research work in cryosurgery for prostate cancer he was awarded a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from the University of Surrey. His findings have been presented to national and international audiences.
Mr Ahmed’s practice involves both general and specialised urological services. He offers a comprehensive assessment and management of urological disorders of kidney, bladder, prostate and men health. Currently he is the clinical lead for urological cancer at East Sussex NHS Trust as well as the lead for urological education.
He has particular expertise in minimally invasive surgical techniques for benign prostatic enlargement including the Urolift procedure.
His special interests are the treatment of stone disease including the using of holmium laser fragmentation and the management of kidney disorders including kidney cancer with minimally invasive techniques including laparoscopy and cryosurgery.
