About Me

Dr Ayyaz Sultan is a Consultant Cardiologist with a wide experience in treating all aspects of adult heart disease. He offers expert assessment, investigation and treatment for a full range of symptoms, including chest pain, palpitations, dizziness and fainting, breathlessness, heart murmurs and management of common cardiac conditions including angina, heart failure, heart attack and hypertension.

Dr Sultan has acquired succinct skills to assess the cardiovascular condition of the patient, pre-procedural assessment for appropriateness & risks of procedures, to make therapeutic decisions and to offer coronary/non-coronary interventions alongside this he has gained a broad range of interventional techniques in all lesion subsets. Dr Sultan has performed more than 3000 diagnostic coronary angiograms and more than 1400 PCI (balloon and stent treatment for plaque in the heart arteries).

Dr Sultan is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at The Faculty of Biology, Medicine and health and The University of Manchester. His passion for clinical research is infinite. The “Impact of frailty on outcomes after percutaneous coronary interventions; a prospective cohort study” and “A retrospective cross-sectional study elevation myocardial infarction tobacco smoking and incidence of ST- segment elevation myocardial infraction and cardiovascular risk factors” are just some articles that he has participated recently. He has completed several research projects which culminated in several publications in high-impact peer-reviewed journals.
